One of my artworks involves a photograph in which I covered myself with papers I had designed and took a self-portrait. I then printed this image onto fabric, placed an iron on top of it, and photographed the result. In some of these images, the iron is placed directly over my mouth. This act is a layered performance—combining photography, fabric, and object—to express themes of silence, pressure, and identity. By using the iron, a domestic and controlling symbol, especially over my face and mouth, I explore the constraints imposed on self-expression, particularly in relation to gender and societal expectations. The work becomes a visual metaphor for the tension between creation and suppression, voice and erasure
